My fellow neighbors

For over 34 years, I have called Miami Gardens home. I’ve raised my family here, built relationships here, and walked the same streets as you. I know the pride we share in our community, but I also know the challenges we face every day. Families are struggling to keep up with rising housing costs. Seniors on fixed incomes worry about making ends meet. Parents want safer neighborhoods for their children. Too many residents still struggle to access quality healthcare. And as our city grows more diverse, we haven’t always done enough to fully celebrate the cultures that make Miami Gardens so vibrant.

These challenges are real—but they are not permanent. Together, we can build a District 2 where:

• Families and seniors have access to affordable housing and are never priced out of the city they love.
• Seniors are supported and protected with the resources they need to thrive.
• Every neighborhood is safe, through strong partnerships with residents, police, and community organizations.
• Healthcare access is expanded, with better resources and stronger advocacy for Medicaid expansion.
• Culture and diversity are celebrated, with our Hispanic and multicultural communities embraced as vital to our future.
•  Businesses have a better path to growth through entrepreneurship startups, innovation initiatives, marketing, and business-friendly services

I am running to lead District 2 because I  believe in solutions that uplift people, strengthen families, and build safer, healthier, and more vibrant neighborhoods. This is not just politics for me, it’s personal. Miami Gardens is my home, and its future matters deeply to me.
